Two players impressed again against FC Ingolstadt.
Fynn Lakenmacher and Julian Guttau are emblematic of the high form of TSV 1860 Munich.

“It is important for every footballer to win.
We’re currently riding a small wave,” says Guttau about his form.
But simply using more self-confidence as an explanation for the steep upward trend in form doesn't go far enough - at least for Guttau.
Because Giannikis used a tactical trick on the offensive that has so far worked completely.

While Guttau still worked on the left wing under former coach Maurizio Jacobacci (61), he now rotates centrally as a ten behind striker Lakenmacher.

“That works quite well.
I hope it continues like this.”

Guttau: “I just try to play a deep ball at that moment.
It goes in really well and I actually just have to put it in deep.

It was very important at that point that we took the lead and I’m really happy for Fynn.”

Lakenmacher has also benefited from the coaching change so far.
Under Jacobacci, the storm giant was almost completely written off and mostly sat on the bench.
It was only when Joel Zwarts (24) was injured at the end of October that Jacobacci included him in the starting line-up again.
Giannikis demonstrated human sensitivity in his first weeks and supported Lakenmacher - of course also due to a lack of alternatives.
Consequence: Fynn appears transformed and is now repaying the trust with effort and goals.
