Of all things, it was a product from the campus that brought Leverkusen to victory against FC Bayern.
Former Munich talents are convincing all over Europe.
Munich – A bitter setback for FC Bayern in the fight for the German championship.
FCB clearly lost 3-0 to league leaders Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday evening.
There is unrest at Bayern.
The team is lagging behind its own expectations.
Their own talents could provide a little encouragement in the Bayern camp.
The much-maligned offspring of the record champions are making people sit up and take notice.
The high investments in the campus appear to be bearing fruit.
In Leverkusen, new signing Sascha Boey met Bayern loanee Josip Stanisic.
In the summer, Bayern decided to loan Stanisic to Leverkusen, which was already met with incomprehension among fans and experts.
This duel clearly went to Stanisic at the BayArena, who not only made Boey look old when Leverkusen scored the opening goal.
Stanisic excels against parent club Bayern – Pavlovic is preferred over Kimmich
The 23-year-old scored only his second Bundesliga goal on Saturday - against the club where he has come through the youth ranks since the U17s.
Nevertheless, those responsible at the Bayern Campus can also evaluate his performance with a laughing eye.
The defender showed his best side in the entire 90 minutes against the record champions.
On the other hand, a Bayern player made it into Thomas Tuchel's starting line-up.
Surprisingly, youngster Aleksandar Pavlovic was given preference over top performer Joshua Kimmich.
In one hour of play this weekend, however, the 19-year-old was hardly able to repeat the good performances of the last few weeks.
Since the U13, he has passed through all of Bayern's youth teams on campus.

Krätzig doesn't need any warm-up time at Austria Vienna - Stiller is a top performer at VfB
Another Bayern youth product was also happy this weekend.
Frans Krätzig was introduced to Austria Vienna after his loan a few days ago.
On Saturday he celebrated his debut in the Viola jersey and received a standing ovation after being substituted.
On the left wing, the 21-year-old made it straight into the starting line-up and was able to set up the goal to make it 1-1.
Away from FC Bayern, some of the Reds' ex-talents are developing rapidly.
Midfielder Angelo Stiller is becoming a top performer at VfB Stuttgart.
The midfielder is one of the reasons for third place in the table.
He can hope for a call from national coach Julian Nagelsmann during the international break.

Joshua Zirkzee wore the FCB jersey for three years and now plays for FC Bologna in Italy.
The center forward has already scored eight goals in Serie A this season. Kenan Yildiz and Arijon Ibrahimović are also in action there.
Yildiz managed to play his way into the starting eleven for record champions Juventus.
Former talent Chris Richards established himself in the Crystal Palace jersey in the first half of the season.
The 23-year-old hasn't missed a minute in the Premier League since the beginning of December.
He was used at six, in central defense and at right-back.
These talents have one thing in common.
All of them were trained at the 70 million Bayern campus.
They were not expected to make the jump to the professional team.
Only Pavlovic is currently in the Munich squad.
Nevertheless, they now managed to make a name for themselves at other clubs.
When it opened, the campus's motto was not only to train talent for the professional team, but also to sell them on for a profit.
At least the project seems to be working now.
