Danny Avdia is having his best season in the NBA.
This truth does not translate into victories, as his Washington continues to be one of the weakest teams in the league, but personally - the Israeli has never looked so good, and the improvement graph is clear to all.
Tonight (between Monday and Tuesday) he equaled his career high with 25 points (11 of 17 from the field) and 7 rebounds in a 104:112 win against Dallas.
Here are some of the numbers that indicate his fitness.
* This is the third time Avdia has scored 25 points in the best league in the world - he did it for the first time on January 30, 2023, in a win over Washington.
On March 28, 2023, he provided the same amount of points in Boston's surprising victory.
* In his last three games, the Israeli's tremendous averages stand at 23.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 4 assists, with 65.9 percent from the field and 41.6 percent for 3.
* In his last five games, the numbers stand at 20.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per night, on 60 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc.
* Needless to say, the month of February 2024 is the best of his career, with 19.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3 assists per game, with percentages of 63.9% from the field and 45.5% for 3.
Let's remember that until the last few weeks, January 2024 was the best of his career (14 points, 51 percent from the field, 47 percent for 3), 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
* For comparison, Avdia is scoring more in February than Victor Wombenyama (19.3), Tyler Hero (19.3), Paul George (18.2), Bam Adebayo (18), Scotty Barnes (18), Tobias Harris (18), James Harden (17.5), CJ McCollum (17.3), Michael Porter Jr. (15.8), Jaylen Brown (15.3), Klay Thompson (13.5), Jaro Holiday (12.5), Andrew Wiggins (12) and many others.
* To understand how high Avdia's percentages are in February, we note that he is ahead of interior players such as Giannis Antetokounmpo (63.6), Daniel Gafford (62.7), Evan Mobley (62.3), Jarrett Allen (61.9), Jusuf Nurkic (61.7), Jonas Valanciunas (58.3), DeAndre Ayton (58.1), Nick Claxton (57.4) and many others.

* Six times Avdia scored 24 points or more in his NBA career - no fewer than four came in February 2024.
* Evidence of Avdia's great improvement on the offensive side - in 2024 he has only four games in which he did not reach double figures.
In December 2023 alone he had eight of them.
* And he does all this, as mentioned, with extraordinary offensive efficiency - in the last two months in particular, but this season in general.
Now, after Daniel Gafford has been traded (and not including Marvin Bagley who has participated in only three games), no Wizards rotation player is shooting over 50 percent from the field this season - none other than Avdia (51.5).
* The Israeli also ranks second in percentages outside the arc (39.3) among all rotation players, with only Tyus Jones (42.1) ahead of him).
