We're going to see Tiger Woods in red again.

The American golf legend, without a sponsor since the end of his collaboration after 27 years of good and loyal service with Nike in January, has just launched his own brand of clothing that he will wear in competition.

This new textile line will have all the recognizable features of the 48-year-old golfer.

From the logo, a tiger formed from 15 pencil strokes for his 15 victories in Majors, to his name “Sun Day Red”, the nickname given to his habit of wearing red on Sunday to conclude his tournaments.

Red, “my color”

“My mother thought that being born under the sign of Capricorn, my color should be red.

I played in red during my first junior tournaments.

I then joined a university whose color was red (Stanford).

Then, every tournament I played as a professional, I wore red.

It became my color,” explained Tiger Woods during the official presentation this Monday in Los Angeles, on the sidelines of the Genesis Invitational, the first tournament of the season for the American golfer.

It started with a passion.

The passion of competing.

Of competing against ourselves.

The field.

The course.

Life.

Out of that passion, @SunDayRed rises.

“Sun Day Red” will be supported by TaylorMade, a brand well known to golfers, which will be the parent company.

But what will “SDR” (the contracted name) offer new for players?

On its website, the new entity describes itself as “a brand that promises to bring a new high standard in performance clothing” with “never before seen designs, style and construction.”

» The first products will be available for sale from May 1st.

But to get a sneak peek at them, everyone will have their eyes glued to the Tiger starting this Thursday for the first round of the Genesis Invitational.
