Munich – Things are not going well at FC Bayern Munich.
The 3-0 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen was just the latest chapter in the failure.
The DFB Cup is gone, and as things stand there isn't enough for the championship either.
The discussions about coach Thomas Tuchel have long since begun.
Klose stands up for Tuchel: “The first solution cannot always be to change the coach”
However, Miroslav Klose cannot understand the latter.
Despite his fluctuating performances, the 2014 world champion sees no reason to separate from Tuchel.
In an interview with
Sport Bild,
Klose said: “The criticism of him is too harsh for me.
I think he is the right coach for FC Bayern.
It also takes patience; the first solution cannot always be to change the trainer.
This is going way too fast for me.”

Klose defends Bayern coach: The German World Cup hero particularly likes a Tuchel move
Klose, who was previously active at FC Bayern, spoke out in favor of giving young talents like Aleksandar Pavlovic more playing time.
In this context, he particularly likes a Tuchel move, as he explained: “A team structure needs variety, new stimuli, rejuvenation.
This fresh wind is good for a team, Tuchel has recognized that.”

Klose would stick with Kimmich and Goretzka
Klose also commented on Joshua Kimmich, who gave insights into Bayern's inner workings after the Leverkusen bankruptcy, and Leon Goretzka.
The World Cup record goalscorer (16 goals) would continue to rely on the two German national players - even if there is a lack of consistency in their game.
“At FC Bayern there is quick criticism, both players have set the bar high themselves.
Kimmich and Goretzka are measured at the top level and are immediately questioned.
“But I wouldn’t sell either of them,” emphasized Klose.
Klose on Kane: “If I had only had five percent of that, I would have 30 World Cup goals”
Klose also praised one of his successors at FC Bayern, Harry Kane, highly: “What impresses me most: his shooting technique.” The German World Cup hero from 2014 jokingly added: “If I had only had five percent of that, then I would probably have 30 World Cup goals.”
Against Leverkusen, Kane, like the entire FCB offensive, remained pale.
