Lindsey Vonn fulfills her dream – ski queen raves about tennis ace

“We've been talking about skiing together for so long.

I wasn't sure if it was happening.

But here we are: retired, skiing, enjoying life!” wrote Vonn, who also thinks another tennis star is “hot”, on X and Instagram.

The words to the tennis legend almost sound like a declaration of love.

“Usually people you admire disappoint you in some way – but not Roger Federer.” Federer is the epitome of a sportsman and a true champion in every sense.

“You and your family are truly one of a kind and no matter what the statistics say, you are forever my GOAT because it's not just about numbers, it's the impact you've had on me and I'm just one in millions.

Thank you, my friend,” Vonn explained.

To put it into perspective: GOAT means “Greatest of all time” in sports language.

But not all fans agreed with that.

Lindsey Vonn and Roger Federer's ski trip causes a huge stir

Many users were bothered by Vonn's assessment of Federer being the GOAT.

In the comments it was said that Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic were number one.

The Spaniard has 22 Grand Slam titles, the Serb has 24, while Federer “only” has 20 major victories.

“Do you even know what the terminology of the word is?

The GOAT is determined by numbers and successes and Djokovic is currently number 1!” said one fan. The four-time overall World Cup winner then deleted her post on X, saying that the negative comments were not about her skiing experience with Federer tarnish.

The ski legend recently published moving pictures.

Lindsey Vonn stands by Roger Federer despite fan protests

“The post was no comparison, it was a tribute to my friend who had a huge impact on my life.

Federer can be my GOAT no matter what others think,” Vonn, who was live at the Super Bowl, said in another post.

The title of greatest of all time is subjective, for some statistics and records are crucial, for others it is influence and character.

“My GOAT is not necessarily your GOAT, and the debate will always be there.”

By the way, Vonn didn't delete the post on Instagram, just edited it.

A user on Instagram believes that Mikaela Shiffrin in skiing and Novak Djokovic in tennis are the GOATs.

Vonn replied: “They certainly are and I have a lot of respect for both of them.

But I don't classify the GOAT based solely on stats.

For me, Roger will always be the GOAT.”
