Justus Strelow
was not nominated despite his strong performance in the mixed relay.

the best German shooter

The 27-year-old proved that he can do this discipline in Östersund, when he came
second behind Rees
.
At the second event of the oldest biathlon discipline in Antholz, he finished with three mistakes, all in the first shooting, but only 30th.
He is
probably giving up voluntarily
in order to be able to concentrate fully on the single mixed relay on Thursday.
The men's individual event is the longest distance run in a biathlon race.
Each starter will complete 20 kilometers.
You have to shoot four times
; for each mistake at the shooting range,
one minute
is added to the final result.
For the big favorites at this World Cup you only have to look at the
Norwegian team

All of the men's medals have gone to her so far.
Sturla Holm Laegreid
secured the sprint
ahead of
Johannes Thingnes Boe
and
Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen
.
In the pursuit, Boe was ahead, followed by four compatriots.
