There is now the first official information from Kansas City: A person was killed in the Super Bowl parade.
Nine others were injured in the incident, a fire department spokesman said on Wednesday.
In addition, three of the injured are in critical condition and five others are in serious condition.
According to Kansas City police, the shooting occurred near the Union Station parking lot, just feet from where Chiefs players had addressed cheering supporters moments earlier.
