Hans Sitzberger has drawn a line in the sand and resigned as Vice President.

The 71-year-old receives a lot of support on Facebook.

Munich – The decision to resign as Vice President does not seem to have been easy for Hans Sitzberger.

This is shown by the detailed statement with which the 71-year-old said goodbye.

At the end, the entrepreneur once again denies all allegations made against him and appeals to the fans to make use of their voting rights at the general meeting in June.

By Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m., almost 250 people had responded to his Facebook post.

His post was shared 29 times and almost 100 people left a comment.

The tenor of the users is clear: Almost all commentators thank Sitzberger for his commitment and regret his departure as deputy head of the Blues.

“I can promise you one thing.

“That I will do everything in my power to vote out this board of directors and put an end to their machinations.”

Peter Helfer, ex-vice president of TSV 1860, after Hans Sitzberger left.

Among others, Franz Maget and Peter Helfer, two former vice-presidents of the Lions, have their say.

“Thank you for your work and your honesty,” writes SPD politician Maget, who was in office from 2007 to 2013.

Peter Helfer (2013-16) also thanks his successor and doesn't mince his words in his post.

“Like many others, you are a 1000 percent lion, but you have now also noticed that there are people at work who don’t have a lion in their hearts,” says Helfer and ends with an announcement.

“I can promise you one thing.

That I will do everything in my power to vote out this board of directors (editor's note) and put an end to their machinations.

Many people think so.

You just have to mobilize them.

That's enough!"

“This is probably the necessary step to avoid even more stress and anger.”

Lions cult keeper Michi Hofmann.

Keeper legend Michi Hofmann's heart is bleeding after Sitzberger's resignation.

“This is probably the necessary step to avoid even more stress and anger.

The lion fan knows what you have achieved over the years,” writes the 51-year-old.

Hofmann reports with resignation that he was insulted by two board members in June.

“It’s just not normal for people to keep spreading anger and rumors.”

Somehow fitting with the current image that the club is currently giving off: There has so far been no reaction to the resignation or thanks for the work done from the eV side, the KGaA nor from Hasan Ismaik and his confidants.

On his 71st birthday last week, Sitzberger was at least congratulated by the eV.
