Danny Avdia's record of records: Tonight (between Wednesday and Thursday) the Washington forward recorded the game of his life, and perhaps the greatest game ever by an Israeli basketball player, with 43 points and 14 rebounds in the Wizards' 133:126 loss to New Orleans.
In doing so, Avdia not only set a personal career record in the NBA, but also broke Omri Caspi's Israeli record in the best league in the world, recreating and even surpassing his famous duel against Steph Curry in 2015 when he scored 36 points, with a duel His own against Zion Williamson.
Avdia finished the huge game with 13 of 24 from the field including 6 of 10 from the three and 11 of 13 from the penalty, added as mentioned 14 rebounds and also contributed 3 assists, a block and 3 turnovers.
He set career highs not only in points, but also in field baskets, three-pointers and free throws, and tied a season high in rebounds.
Overall, Avdia continued his tremendous streak and recorded a fourth straight game with 20 or more points, finishing with double-doubles in four of the last five games.
Avdia also set several franchise records that will go down in Wizards history.
This is the first time since Alvin Hayes in 1977 that a player of the Wizards (Bullets at the time) reaches 43 points and 14 rebounds in a game.
In addition, Avdia became the youngest Wizards player since John Wall in 2013 to score 40 or more in a game.

The Wizards entered the game without the ailing Kyle Kuzma, and that was the signal for Avdia to take the reins.
The Pelicans put Zaion Williamson in front of him on defense, who is not known as a particularly good guard, and Avdia gave a sign of things to come when he scored the first basket of the game in front of him from outside the arc.
The Pelicans looked in control and led by small margins throughout most of the first half, and went into the break with an 8 lead, with Avdia still looking relatively "calm" and ending the half with 14 points and 7 rebounds.
Avdia's explosion came in the third quarter, where he did his best on one end, and saw Zion Williamson give him a fight on the other end.
Avdia scored 20 points in the third quarter (another career high), keeping the Wizards within touching distance and breaking his previous career high (25 points).
Jordan Paul and Tyus Jones woke up in the last quarter and helped Abadia carry the offensive burden and keep the game competitive, but on the other side Brandon Ingram teamed up with Williamson and together they didn't allow the Wizards to get close enough.
A basket by Avdia with 54 seconds left put him at 43 points and offset the difference to only 4, but Ingram closed interest on the next attack.

It was the eighth loss in a row for Washington, which dropped to 45:9 despite an evening in which it tied a club record in three-pointers (20) and along with Avdia's records it also enjoyed 20 points from Corey Kispert and 16 and 7 assists from Jordan Paul.
The Pelicans, on the other hand, record a seventh victory in the last eight games, including three in a row, on the way to a 22:33 record.
Zion Williamson finished with 36 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds, CJ McCollum contributed 24 and 6 assists and Ingram finished with 18 and 7.
Avdia and the Wizards will now leave for the All-Star break, and the Israeli will hope to return from it for the next game against Denver in the same monstrous form.
