Everything is going well in the selection of Equatorial Guinea!
No, actually not really.
At the start of the week, the federation excluded striker Emilio Nsue, author of 5 goals during the African Cup of Nations and therefore top scorer in the competition.
The reason ?
With the other striker of the selection Edu Salvador, the captain would have “taken part in several episodes of serious indiscipline”, including one in which Salvador participated, which forced the police to intervene on the spot in Abidjan.
The two players are suspended “until further notice”, indicated the federation.

This February 16, the entire selection is standing up against this decision.
In an 8-page letter written in Portuguese, several members of the team contest this suspension, the facts and ask the federation to reverse its decision.
The signatories also denounce the disappearance of bonuses to be shared between all which would amount to 800,000 dollars (approximately 760,000 euros).
Reported to some 30 members of the delegation, this equates to around 25,000 euros per person.
The players are also angry at the exclusion from their hotel in Ivory Coast in the middle of the competition: the federation would not have paid the bill on time.
The Equatorial Guineans created a surprise by qualifying for the round of 16 before failing against Guinea.
