In order to introduce children to skiing as playfully as possible, ski ace Felix Neureuther has come up with a very special fart exercise.
Munich – After his successful ski career, Felix Neureuther is particularly committed to social issues.
With his foundation he wants to promote exercise and health among children and young people and create better awareness, among other things, of nature and sustainability.
He recently criticized, for example, the lack of exercise among children in schools.

In the latest edition, Neureuther and his podcast colleague Phillipp Nagel talk to ski instructor Norbert Haslach and actor Ferdinand Hofer about how to teach children to ski - and Neureuther reports on a very special exercise.

Felix Neureuther teaches children to ski with fart exercises
In order to teach skiing as playfully as possible, parents and ski instructors must try to “package the exercises as well as possible.
It doesn't help if you say, 'Make a plow and see that your upper body goes over it', but you have to package the exercises and instructions," explains Neureuther.
That's why he himself has already used the "dumpling exercise" and the "fart exercise" as a ski instructor with groups of children.
“When skiing, it is very important to bring your hips towards the slope.
And then every time they made a turn they had to put their hips in and make a fart,” explains Neureuther.
In a short video on the BR winter sports channel on Instagram, you can see Neureuther doing the exercise while standing and visibly having fun doing it.
Unconventional methods: Children enthusiastic about the Neureuther exercise
But the unconventional method apparently achieved the desired effect.
“The kids got their hips in there just because they pretended to fart.
And the children had a lot of fun.
They laughed their heads off, even when you explained the exercise to them,” said Neureuther, who recently celebrated carnival on the slopes with a runner-up Olympic champion.

After all, seeing the children having fun is also nice for teachers and parents.
“And then the children fart all the way down the slope and people look.
“That’s wonderful,” says the 39-year-old happily.
According to Neureuther, packing meaningful exercises into such forms of play is a “key moment for the children so that they can have fun and enjoy it.
However, he did not reveal whether he also teaches the “fart exercise” to his own children.
However, a rare family photo with his wife Miriam and their children at the beginning of the year shows that the Neureuther offspring is already skiing at a young age.
