The Executive Committee of the French Football Federation (FFF), meeting this Thursday, announced the creation of the commitment commission.

This new feature is an additional step in the deployment of the Commitment Plan announced on October 19 by the FFF, under the leadership of its president Philippe Diallo.

This societal action plan is structured around three priority areas: combating all violence and discrimination, strengthening the educational and inclusive dimension of football, and creating the conditions for sustainable development of football.

Chaired by Pascal Parent, member of the FFF Comex and president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes League, made up of qualified and recognized personalities from the world of football and civil society, the engagement commission “will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the policies conducted by the FFF, to measure their impacts, to make the necessary changes and to present its conclusions, each year, to the Federal Assembly,” the FFF specified in a press release.

“Our ambition is to create a dynamic around a certain number of values supported by sport and the Federation,” Philippe Diallo explained to us on October 26.

Perhaps we have not emphasized educational and societal values enough until now.

Feminization, the uncompromising fight against sexual violence, support for the ecological transition, issues of diversity, the fight against homophobia... The FFF wants to prepare for the future and provide the conditions for confidence to parents who want enroll their children in our football schools.

Concerning the ecological transition, the FFF has, however, chosen not to accept the option proposed by the SNCF for the trips planned to Lyon and Marseille at the end of March as part of the Blues' upcoming matches against Germany, then Chile.

On October 17, Philippe Diallo said he was considering making certain trips by train, rather than by plane, when the journey took less than three hours.
