This is the beautiful story of these Spanish indoor athletics championships.
This Saturday, Alejandra Galvez, 46, was at the start of her 1500 meter series.
Information which could have seemed anecdotal if his daughter Daniel Sierra, aged 15, was not also aligned.
Before the race, mother and daughter stood side by side and formed a heart with their hands for this historic moment.
This is in fact the first time in the history of these championships that a mother and her daughter have qualified for the same event.

In the race, neither mother nor daughter qualified for the final, with the former finishing tenth ahead of her daughter in twelfth and last place.
But the stakes are elsewhere for Alejandra Galvez, who has been racing on the circuit for 25 years.
“It’s a privilege for us to be here… I was stressed running with my daughter, but I have the impression that for her, it was quite the opposite!
I hope this is not the last time we run together, but I think that next time, it will be her who will be better,” said the oldest athlete in the competition.
His daughter, who incidentally is the youngest in these Spanish championships, also enjoyed some family time.

“It's not our best race, by far.
Too many emotions together.
But this is undoubtedly the race of our lives.
