The (big) class of Darwin Nunez
He made his detractors lie.
Often criticized for his ineffectiveness, Darwin Nunez scored a sublime goal, full of finesse, to give Liverpool the advantage shortly after the half-hour mark. Launched deep by Diego Jota, with a header, the Uruguayan, completely alone, presented himself against Mark Flekken and deceived his vigilance with a sumptuous right-footed ball.
Simply magnificent!
Mohamed Salah returns
Injured during the African Cup of Nations, Mohamed Salah, who had not played in the Premier League since January 1, started the match on the bench.
But with Diego Jota injured, the Egyptian had to come on in the first half.
And despite several weeks without a match, the right winger was able to prove decisive.
Indeed, in the second act, he first served Alexis Mac Allister perfectly for the break goal (54th).
Before, then, worsening the score, on a rapid transition, with a left-footed cross shot (68th).
His return, and in good shape, is good news for the Reds!

Gifts from the Bees defense
Liverpool (probably) didn't need it.
But this Saturday, Brentford offered several gifts to their opponent.
First, on the opening score, the Bees defense left Darwin Nunez completely alone (34th).
Then, on the Reds' third goal, Mohamed Salah was also forgotten (68th).
And finally, on the last achievement of the meeting, Nathan Collins completely missed his clearance, allowing Luis Diaz to provide an assist to Cody Gakpo (86th).
A match to forget for Thomas Frank's players.
Jones, Jota...Liverpool's injuries
Two big blows for Liverpool.
Already deprived of many major players (Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Thiago, Dominik Szoboszlai), the Reds risk having to do without Curtis Jones and Diego Jota in the coming weeks.
Indeed, the first, hit in the left ankle, was forced to give up his place after half an hour of play. The second, visibly injured in the left knee during a physical duel on the ground, had to go out on a stretcher shortly before the break.
Suffice to say that Jürgen Klopp will have to rack his brains to find solutions in the next matches.
