Will Hansi Flick join FC Bayern again?
Lothar Matthäus attests that the ex-coach has a quality “that Tuchel perhaps doesn’t have”.
Munich – Thomas Tuchel is in the crossfire of criticism after the defeats against Leverkusen and Lazio.
Hansi Flick, among others, is considered a possible successor.
The coaching discussion at FC Bayern is gaining momentum, after all there is a threat of a titleless season.
At least until the game against VfL Bochum, Tuchel will sit on the Bayern bench, according to
tz
information, the coach has his job secure for the time being, but the bosses are constantly reassessing the situation.

Matthäus brushes off FC Bayern: “No feeling of togetherness”
“The 1-0 loss in Rome was not Bayern-like.
The conviction is missing, there is no feeling of togetherness,” criticizes the record national player in his column.
“Lightness, enthusiasm, dominance – everything that distinguished Bayern in the past can no longer be seen.”
Matthäus sees the coaching team as responsible for ensuring that “the players’ minds are clear”.
That is not the case at the moment because “a lot is changing too often” at Bayern.
Matthäus is probably alluding to the system change and the abandonment of some leading players against Leverkusen - both measures backfired.

The
Sky
expert even speculates: “The relationship of trust between the absolute leading players and the coach may have been lost.” The Bayern leading players had a functioning relationship of trust with Hansi Flick, which resulted in the triple in 2020.

However, Flick was unable to continue his success in Munich as national coach - with some of the same players.
Matthäus still sees a crucial difference between Flick and Tuchel: “Hansi has something that Tuchel perhaps doesn’t have.
In any case, he always managed to strengthen his players and instill great self-confidence in them.”
A possible renewed commitment from Flick is still pure speculation.
But this much is certain: both Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel have not been able to repeat his success so far.
