The San Antonio Spurs star is an avowed fan of PSG, “his team”, which he regularly came to see play when he was still playing in the Paris region.
In the past, he had already explained that Mbappé was the player who inspired him “the most if we talk about football”.
“In any case, he will always be in the French team, so he can still win a few World Cups,” he put things into perspective.
This weekend, Wembanyama played in the Rising Stars Challenge in Indianapolis, a short-format tournament bringing together several American basketball hopefuls, opening the All-Star weekend.
