The Norwegian biathlon superstar Tarjei Bö stands on the podium with his brother and then indicates his retirement.
Nove Mesto – The Biathlon World Cup in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic is coming to an end and the Norwegian men's team in particular was completely convincing.
The team around top athlete Johannes Thingnes Bö collected numerous victories and medals.
For Tarjei, the other Bö brother, it could be the last World Cup of his career because he indicated his retirement.
Biathlon star Bö before the end of his career
In the individual event at the Biathlon World Championships, the two brothers fulfilled their dream of being on the podium together.
Johannes Thingnes became world champion by far, Tarjei won silver.
It could be the last time the duo will be on the podium together.
“Last time in Antholz we said that it might be our last.
Somehow we don't know.
Today we can say the same.
We always have to assume that it is the last one,” said Johannes Thingnes Bö after the race to the TV station

.
“We don’t know if it’s Tarjei’s last year.
People think I know, but I don't know," continued the 30-year-old, who apparently has no idea what will happen to his brother after the current season.
Tarjei Bö could end his career after the current season.

Tarjei Bö himself was also asked after the individual whether he would end his career after this winter or whether he would also compete in the 2024/25 season.
“To be honest, I don’t know myself,” replied the 35-year-old, who has been active in the World Cup since 2009.
The thoughts of retirement are not new; the three-time Olympic champion has been thinking about a possible end to his career for some time.

“Now the World Cup is underway and I have more than enough to do with the impressions here.
“Now there are two more World Championship races to go and then we’ll think about other things,” says Tarjei Bö, who wants to collect more precious metal in the final races – preferably with his brother.

Even in conversations with his wife Gita, a possible end to his career is apparently not currently an issue.
There are things that are more important at the moment: the couple has to plan their upcoming wedding for the summer.
