Felix Neureuther loves the mountains and the slopes.

It's hardly surprising that he ends up exactly here during carnival time.

Munich - Anyone who is a real alpine enthusiast will of course only know one suitable place for the carnival season: the ski slopes.

At least that's what former top ski racer Felix Neureuther seemed to have thought when he shared a special snapshot in his Instagram story shortly after the carnival days.

Felix Neureuther and vice Olympic champion Kink in carnival dress on the slopes

This time Felix Neureuther is in appropriate carnival gear, not with his friend Bastian Schweinsteiger or, as recently, with TV star Joko Winterscheidt in the mountains, but with, among others, the former ice hockey player and Olympic silver medalist Marcus Kink.

A third person, not named and well disguised, also decorates the motif.

Felix Neureuther stands in the middle of the carnival trio, wearing a purple outfit with a polka dot skirt and a blonde wig.

A magnificent, but probably artificial, mane of hair also adorns the head of Marcus Kink, who has also put on a pair of leopard pants while standing on his ski boards.

The smiles and joy at the funny moment are written on the faces of the three men in front of the magnificent winter backdrop.

Slope lover Neureuther wants to protect nature

Ultimately, it's hardly surprising that Felix Neureuther also likes to spend the carnival season in the snow and on skis.

The 39-year-old's love of the slopes is well known and continues even after his retirement in March 2019.

During the cold season he often goes out in the mountains with friends or acquaintances for various reasons.

Neureuther, who owns a house in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, tries to preserve the winter and ski ambience he loves through an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

The former top athlete's new building, which was built in 2018, was planned entirely with a focus on sustainability and climate protection.

Here Neureuther even heats with ice.
