The Automobile Club de l'Ouest has revealed the composition of the field for the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans which will include 23 Hypercars.


Endurance and the 24 Hours of Le Mans are experiencing a new golden age and the composition, revealed this morning by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, of the 2024 grid for the Le Mans race, confirms this renewal.

Next Saturday, June 15, at 4 p.m., 23 cars will set off in the premier category called Hypercar to try to succeed Ferrari, winner in 2023. A fierce battle will pit no fewer than nine manufacturers against each other, including two French: Ferrari, Toyota, Cadillac, Peugeot, Porsche, Alpine, Lamborghini, BMW and Isotta Fraschini.

16 crews are announced in LMP2 and 23 in the new LMGTE category with nine brands: Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, Lexus, McLaren and Porsche.

The list of 186 drivers at the start is not yet complete but there are already 12 former winners in the general classification (11 in Hypercar, one in LMGT3), as well as three female drivers.
