Summary: Maccabi Haifa - Hapoel Haifa 1:1/Sport1

Yotam Meidler, a Hapoel Haifa fan, did not understand yesterday when leaving the municipal stadium in Haifa why he was receiving hundreds of messages, when his WhatsApp simply exploded.

The 36-year-old Meidler, a "burnt" fan in the vernacular of the Carmel Reds, is used to putting his phone aside during the team's games and focusing on what's happening on the field, but at the end he realized that something unusual had happened, and no, it's not about Tomer Yosef's equalizer that made hundreds of friends and acquaintances to send a message.

Already in the first messages Meidler realized that his son Roy had become a "celeb", when the camera focused on him during the game, he sang a Hapoel Haifa fan song at the height of his enthusiasm.

On the network, everyone wanted to understand who that "beautiful girl" is who knows all the songs, but the truth is, as mentioned, that it is Roy Midler, seven and a half years old, who drew the group's sympathy from infancy.

Everything runs in the family, as it should.

"Roy comes with me to every game, both at home and away," Yotam said today about his son in a conversation with Walla!

Sport, "I've been a Hapoel fan since I was a kid myself, and so are my children, of course. There is no other option in our family."

- In recent years, there is a phenomenon that children of Hapoel Haifa fans start liking Maccabi Haifa due to environmental pressure.

Does it make you worry?

"We don't have such an option in our family, so I'm really not worried. We're from Karmiel, and I, as a child, was one of the few Hapoel Haifa fans in Karmiel. I know this can't happen, our entire extended family are Hapoel Haifa fans."

- What was Roy's first game?

"The truth is, I don't remember, but for three years now he has been with me at every game, and of course he has a subscription. He also comes to every away game."

- You could see that he knew all the words of the fan song.

"He knows all the songs by heart and sings them a lot."

- Tell a little about his reactions when he realized that everyone was talking about him.

"Yesterday my cell phone exploded, of course he saw himself, although it's not the first time he's been photographed, but such a close-up with crazy singing is the first time."

- Maybe this excellent season will also bring the audience back?

"This year is an exciting year, a special collection of players under the management of Roni Levy and the team who do wonders, I hope that there will be continuity for this season and thus more fans will return and maybe we will expand the audience."

- Are there any more children?

"I have a son called Bar who is four and a half years old. He also comes to the games, but not to all of them. I believe that from the beginning of next season he will come regularly."
