Eintracht attacker Sasa Kalajdzic had to be substituted early in the Bundesliga game against SC Freiburg with a knee injury.

There is a risk of extended downtime due to a possible serious knee injury.

: Freiburg – Eintracht Frankfurt has to play SC Freiburg on matchday 22 of the Bundesliga and finally wants to get back on the road to success.
After just a few minutes, the SGE suffered a setback because striker Sasa Kalajdzic was unable to continue playing and had to be substituted.

Eintracht worries about Kalajdzic
Kalajdzic, who was again preferred to Hugo Ekitike, collapsed in the early stages of the game without any outside influence and remained injured.
The attacker grabbed his knee and signaled that he couldn't go any further.
After a short treatment by the SGE medical department, the 26-year-old made his way into the cabin.
At least he could walk himself and didn't need to be supported.
The examinations will have to show how severe the injury Kalajdzic sustained is.
There are of course concerns about a more serious injury because the Austrian has already torn his cruciate ligament twice in the past.
In 2019, the attacker suffered his first serious knee injury during preparation with VfB Stuttgart and had to wait almost a whole year for his first competitive game for the Swabians.
After the injury, the left knee was stable and the 26-year-old no longer had any problems.

After he moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League in 2022, he tore the cruciate ligament in his left knee again right on his debut for his new club.

Another serious knee injury would be a hard blow for the player and also for Eintracht Frankfurt.
The attacker is on loan until the end of the season and the Eagles do not have a purchase option.
