TSV Munich celebrated an extremely important three-pointer in the basement duel in the 3rd league against Halleschen FC.

Julian Guttau scored the winning goal.

Munich – TSV 1860 in seven league boots on the way to staying in the league?

In the Sunday evening game against Halleschen FC, the Lions showed that they also have work victories in their repertoire.

A stroke of genius from Julian Guttau with a direct free kick was enough to send the (former) rivals home from the endangered zone of the table with zero points.

The Lions, for their part, remained unbeaten in their seventh game under Argirios Giannikis, celebrated their third three-pointer in a row and are moving away from the relegation zone at an incredible pace.

“We earned the win today,” said Giannikis, but quietly criticized his team: “I would have preferred it if we had made it 2-0 at some point and used one of our four or five counterattacks.

Then we would have had a quieter evening.”

Hasan Ismaik opens the door for leaving TSV 1860 – Robert Reisinger without comment

Yesterday's game was also surrounded by political themes that persistently accompany the Lions' sporting success.

There is discussion in fan circles about how serious the exit offer that Hasan Ismaik made to the eV leadership via the evening newspaper is.

In an interview, the investor explained that money did not represent an incentive for him, but rather an admission by the club's management that they had deliberately picked on him and excluded him - with the sole aim of disgusting him away from 1860:

"If you admit these mistakes, apologize for them and tell me: 'Mister Hasan, we'll tell you straight to your face: you should get out, the club should belong to the fans!'

If you have this conversation with me - and with respect - then I would be willing to negotiate.

Then I would open this door.” And what does the equally proud and defiant club say about that?

Nothing so far.

When asked by our newspaper, President Robert Reisinger did not want to comment on Ismaik's special offer.

Julian Guttau puts TSV 1860 in the lead against Halleschen FC

In any case, Julian Guttau remains the sporty door opener from the service.

17 minutes had been played against Halle's physically squeamish team when the Lions were awarded a free kick.

18 meters in front of the HFC goal, a case for high-quality technicians - and for a brilliant playmaker like the former Halle player.

Guttau took measurements, hit the ball into the corner and cheered a little more than in the first leg, when he refrained from making exaggerated gestures after his goal to make the final score 2-0 out of respect for his training club.

With the early dream goal to make it 1-0, little had been achieved.

Guttau's offensive interaction with Buddy Lakenmacher continued to work well, which was shown by a chance created with a one-two (32').

At the back, however, the Lions defense had to remain on guard against courageous Halle players, especially David Richter, who stood in for Marco Hiller, who was suffering from the flu - and quickly deflected a hidden long-range shot from Eitschberger against the post (30th).

TSV 1860's run continues – DFB Cup qualification still possible?

The second half then became a game of patience.

Because Halle never gave up and the Lions handled their chances sloppily.

However, nothing burned at the back.

There was only one real excitement left - when the glass pane of a reporter's booth burst and shards rained down on the audience in the stands.

As we all know, they bring good luck.

This is also good for the lions in the new year.

And what goals are you aiming for now if the famous 40-point mark is reached shortly?

The relegation spot held by the in-form SSV Ulm remains out of reach for the time being, but there could still be some progress towards the DFB Cup place - currently there are “only” seven points to catch up on.

First of all, Giannikis will probably be interested in extending his undefeated streak - on Saturday in Verl. (Uli Kellner)
