It's not every year that a footballer has the opportunity to play in the Olympic Games in his country.
And Antoine Griezmann intends to seize his chance in Paris in 2024. In an interview with Le
Monde
published this Tuesday, the French international (32 years old, 127 caps) confides his “
dream
” and his desire to
“do everything to participate”
in the tournament Olympic football, within the team led by Thierry Henry.

The native of Mâcon still has to convince his club, Atlético de Madrid, to release him.
Something that the Colchoneros are not forced to accept, the Olympics are not part of the official FIFA calendar.
Having become the top scorer in the club's history on January 10, Antoine Griezmann is counting on a favor for services rendered.
“I will have a discussion with the leaders, in due time, to find out if they will let me go
,” he explains.
If he is chosen, the former Real Sociedad and FC Barcelona striker would take one of the three “joker” places in the Olympic team, those players over the age of 23 authorized to participate in the event.
Another of his places will probably be occupied by Kylian Mbappé, who has expressed his wish to be there for many months.
