The collaboration between Lucas Alario and Eintracht Frankfurt was a big misunderstanding.

In Brazil, however, things are going better and better.

Porto Alegre – Lucas Alario is probably one of the bigger transfer flops in Eintracht Frankfurt’s club history.

The Argentine moved from Bayer Leverkusen to Main in 2022 for six million euros, where he only played 26 games in a year and a half and only scored twice.

In the winter the striker went to Internacional from Porto Alegre in Brazil for around half a million euros.

The 31-year-old is currently finding his old strength there.

Former Eintracht Frankfurt professional Alario scores for the first time in over a year and a half

The ex-Eintracht kicker drew attention to himself last week with his first goal for his new club.

The league season in Brazil doesn't start until April.

Before that, the teams compete in the prestigious state championships, in which first division teams like Inter also compete against lower-class opponents.

In the game against fourth division team Brasil de Pelotas (3:1) the time had finally come for Alario.

The Argentine converted a half-high lay-off from the left side to the edge of the box into the opponent's goal with a direct shot that was remarkable and technically perfect.

For the first time since October 2022, the South American was able to celebrate his own goal.

The attacker's form and mood increased in equal measure.

After the game he said on the club channel: “I’m happy.

But first and foremost, I’m happy for the team because we played a great and strong game.”

Ex-Eintracht striker impresses with his enthusiasm and commitment

After his debut goal, the former Eintracht Frankfurt player was also in action against lower-class club Novo Hamburgo (3-1).

There Lucas Alario is surprisingly happy to play and once again very clean technically.

The offensive man played a remarkable one-two with his heel and then narrowly missed the opponent's goal.

After Alario failed to score in his first six games in the country of the five-time world champion, Frankfurt's transfer flop seems to be slowly enjoying playing football again.

In the summer, his friend Rafael Borré will come to Internacional.

That could give the South American a further push.

At the same time, even after the winter transfer offensive due to Kalajdzic's cruciate ligament tear, Eintracht continues to have personnel concerns in the storm center, which Alario was never able to solve.

But the Argentine now seems to be finding happiness again in Brazil.
