Three consecutive defeats, eight points behind leader Leverkusen, a locker room on the verge of a nervous breakdown... The management of Bayern Munich decided to react by announcing this Wednesday the departure of its coach Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season.
The 3-2 defeat this weekend on the pitch in Bochum sealed the fate of the German technician, who arrived in Bavaria less than a year ago.
Munich had not lost three matches in a row since the end of the 2014-2015 season under Pep Guardiola, but at the time the league title was already acquired, and the defeats in the Bundesliga (in addition to a defeat at Barcelona in Champions League) had no importance then.
The club, which remains on eleven national titles in a row, is also suffering on the European scene.
Last week, he lost his round of 16 first leg against Lazio Rome (1-0).
Changes to the new season: FC Bayern and Thomas Tuchel have been in charge for the summer.

Thomas Tuchel, who played for Dortmund, PSG and Chelsea, has lost the confidence of part of the locker room in recent weeks.
Some of his executives in particular (Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goreztak) no longer understand his choices and his methods, according to the local press.
An altercation even pitted Kimmich against a Tuchel deputy after the defeat against Bochum.
“We have agreed to end our working relationship at the end of this season.
Until then, I will of course continue to do everything in my power with my coaching team to achieve maximum success,” the coach said in the club's official statement.
