Update from February 20th, 9:43 p.m.:
There was great sympathy for the death of Andi Brehme today during the Champions League duel between Inter Milan and Atlético Madrid.
Before kick-off, the spectators stood for a minute's silence and applauded.
Meanwhile, a picture of Brehme was displayed on the San Siro scoreboard.
Inter also wore mourning ribbons.

Brehme played for the blue-blacks from 1988 to 1992 and won the UEFA Cup with them, as well as Italian champions and Italian Supercup winners.

Munich - Five meter run-up, deliberate shot with the inside into the bottom left corner, boundless celebration: these scenes in football Germany will forever be associated with Andreas Brehme.
The left-back became world champion in 1990 and with him the entire Federal Republic.
