The overall World Cup leader Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold is taking a break from sport after the disappointing Biathlon World Cup.
Oslo – The Biathlon World Championships were anything but satisfactory for Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold.
Although she won silver and bronze in the relay, nothing came together in the individual races.
The overall leader of the World Cup traveled to Nove Mesto as one of the big favorites.
After the disappointing World Cup, the Norwegian now drew conclusions.

“The plan is to put the rifle in the closet for a while and not look at it for a few days.
“I want to live a little simpler life with those I love,” she said in an interview with Norwegian TV station

The biathlon star wants to do without the telephone and electricity.
“It’s a bit like before an exam.
Sometimes it's okay to stop reading and just go to bed.
If you let it disappear a little, the most important things come back,” said Tandrevold, explaining her decision to take a break from biathlon.

But Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold won't be the only Norwegian biathlete taking a break from shooting.
As coach Sverre Huber Kaas explained, this affects the entire team - by order of those responsible.
“Our recipe now is that the weapons are no longer picked up until we drive to Holmenkollen.
They should spend as many days as possible not thinking about shooting and enjoying everything else,” Kaas told

Tandrevold puts the biathlon rifles in the corner for now
This measure is intended to change the minds of the Norwegian team.
Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold will certainly be relieved to be able to relax for a few days after the emotional moments at the World Cup.
For example, the Norwegian burst into tears after the single mixed relay and had to be comforted by her relay colleague's arms - despite winning the bronze medal.
However, she was extremely disappointed with her shooting performance, which prevented her from achieving a better placement.
