If he is released from FCB, Thomas Tuchel could go to London.

He was already working successfully there.

There's probably a German behind it.

Munich/London – After the 2-3 defeat in Bochum, Thomas Tuchel's coaching chair at FC Bayern is shaking a lot.

Immediately after the game, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen gave him a job guarantee for the upcoming home game against RB Leipzig.

But even if he wins, Tuchel's future in Munich is uncertain.

Now a club from Tuchel's former place of work in London is apparently showing interest in the 50-year-old.

Tuchel before Bayern exit?

There is supposedly a job waiting in the old homeland

As the British football news portal

HITC

now reports, the Premier League club West Ham United would like to reach out to Tuchel.

If he is released from Bayern, a job could already be waiting for the 50-year-old at the “Hammers” and thus in his old home of London.

Before his involvement with Bayern, Tuchel worked as coach of Chelsea FC for around one and a half years from January 2021.

Among other things, he won the Champions League with the “Blues”.

In September 2022, those responsible in London, led by Todd Boehly, fired him after a mediocre start to the season - but the current Bayern coach has left a lasting impression in the British capital.

Will Thomas Tuchel remain Bayern coach?

According to several English media reports, West Ham United are interested in signing the 50-year-old.

German as a driving force: FCB coach Tuchel could go back to England

The driving force behind the interest, the portal reports, is West Ham's German technical director Tim Steidten.

The former squad planner for Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen could well imagine working with the current Bayern coach.

Shortly before Tuchel's departure from Chelsea, several media outlets reported unanimously that Steidten could move to the "Blues" alongside the Bavarian Swabian.

Will the two now be united?

Ex-Bundesliga official could bring Tuchel back to his old home if Bayern is eliminated

Steidten has been the technical director of the London club since July 2023 and is apparently planning big things.

As the “Hammers” have now announced, his brother Moritz and Maximilian Hahn, a confidant of the former Bremen and Leverkusen player, will be joining West Ham’s scouting team with immediate effect.

Steidten is increasingly shaping the “Hammers” department responsible for squad planning according to his ideas – and filling it with German officials.

And Tuchel could soon join this entourage.

But the fact that this actually happens seems questionable.

Including Bayern, Tuchel's last stops were absolute top teams.

West Ham, on the other hand, is currently in acute danger of missing out on qualifying for international competitions.

In addition, the future of the current “Hammers” coach, David Moyes, has not yet been clarified.

West Ham is weak in the Premier League – Will Tuchel come from Munich in the summer?

Moyes has been in charge of the “Hammers” since 2019 and led them to the Conference League title last year.

His contract expires after the season.

The Scottish coach would reportedly like to stay.

But club boss David Sullivan has so far hesitated to make a decision about Moyes' future.

The reason for this is West Ham's poor performances in the recent past.

The “Hammers” lost their last three league games to nil, including a 6-0 home defeat in the local duel against Arsenal.

Moyes' team also managed their last win to date against the Gunners - almost two months ago on December 28th.

Does the Scot have to vacate his chair for Tuchel in the summer?

“No better coach”: West Ham fans would not be convinced by Tuchel’s transfer

The Londoners are still in a good ninth place in the table, but they are in danger of losing touch with the European Cup ranks.

According to the English

Daily Mail

, those responsible at West Ham are now exploring the market for possible successors to Moyes.

The paper does not name Tuchel in this context, but other candidates that the “Hammers” managers are considering include Steve Cooper, Julen Lopetegui and Graham Potter.

The three have also already worked in the Premier League - and appear to West Ham fans as more realistic options for the coaching position at United.

“No chance,” is how a user on platform X (formerly Twitter) classifies the possibilities of signing the Bayern coach.

“Tuchel may be a 'big name', but I bet he's not a better coach than Moyes,” writes an unconvinced “Hammers” fan.

There is currently speculation not only about Moyes' position at West Ham.

Rumors also keep coming up about Tuchel's possible successor.

There are currently some top names as candidates for the Bayern coaching position.
