The MLS season opened tonight (between Wednesday and Thursday) starring, of course, Leo Messi and Luis Suarez, who made a successful debut in the star team of Inter Miami, which beat Real Salt Lake 0:2 at home.
After recording a great half-season for him last year, Messi this time opened the season in Miami and turned it from a negligible team, to the top candidate for the championship.
The pair of former Barcelona stars started the lineup alongside their former Barca teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
Although the two did not score, they scored both goals, with Messi being a senior partner in both goals.

As early as the 17th minute, Messi sent a tremendous free kick towards the posts from 25 meters, but Justin Glad saved it with a header right off the line.
In the 39th minute, the dam was broken when Messi led the ball and put a deep ball into Robert Taylor, who kicked into the far corner and in.
In the 83rd minute, Messi led a ball from the half, passed his keeper and put it in for Suarez, who crossed for Diego Gomes who made it 0:2 and secured the victory.
The great move by Messi and Suarez and the goal by Gomes
Messi completed the entire game and looked in great physical shape, when Suarez was replaced right in the 90th minute.
The Argentine kicked three times into the frame, with Suarez recording two threats into the frame and looking excellent in his debut, after arriving in Miami from Gremio, where he starred with a double-digit output of assists and goals.
"I'm so happy to win the first game at home," Suarez said after the game, "Me and Messi are friends on and off the field. We're trying to help the team win something this year.
