Horst Hrubesch has nominated his squad for the games in the Nations League.
Some familiar faces are missing in this one.
Lyon – There are two important games scheduled for the German women’s national team.
On Friday, Horst Hrubesch's team will face France in the semi-finals of the Nations League.
In the remaining two games his team still has a chance of qualifying for the Olympic Games in Paris.
The national coach now gave information about his squad nomination.
Hrubesch disappointed with Lattwein's performance - Magull was also not nominated
Lena Lattwein and Lina Magull were at the 2022 European Championships when the German team narrowly lost to England in the final.
However, the two did not make it into the squad for the top four of the Nations League.
National coach Horst Hrubesch explained these personnel decisions at a digital media round.
“For me, she doesn’t actually play what she can play,” Hrubesch said of Lattwein.
He would have “expected much, much more” from the VfL Wolfsburg midfielder.
According to the 72-year-old, Magull, who was disappointed after not being nominated, needed more match practice after moving from FC Bayern to Inter Milan.
Hrubesch emphasized that he had spoken to the vice-European champions and “always plays with open cards.”
Horst Hrubesch did not nominate Lena Lattwein for the upcoming international matches.

DFB women want to preserve their Olympic chances
After the disappointing World Cup last summer, the DFB women would like to make amends.
Through the Nations League there is still a chance that the German national team will still qualify for the Olympic Games.
This would still be possible even if they lost against France in Lyon on Friday.
If the Hrubesch team wins against France and makes it to the final, then the ticket to the Olympics is already secured.
If they don't win, the team can still maintain their chance of taking part in the Olympic Games with a win in the game for third place.
The opponent is the loser from the second semi-final between world champions Spain and the Netherlands.

Before the two important games for the DFB selection, national coach Hrubesch can finally look more calmly at the personnel situation.
The 72-year-old was “happy and happy that we were able to make the most of it” and praised the clubs’ work during the winter break.
Among others, Lena Oberdorf and Lea Schüller are back on board after recovering from injuries.
