the emergency call was received on Monday evening, February 19th, at 11:30 p.m.
Brehme, who lives in Munich, is said to have been admitted to the emergency room at the clinic on Ziemssenstrasse near his apartment.

Andreas Brehme is dead: Ex-professional soccer player was active in three countries
Brehme has had an eventful football career.
He was born on November 9, 1960 in Hamburg and played professionally for Saarbrücken, Kaiserslautern, FC Bayern, Inter Milan and Real Zaragoza.
He played 86 times for the German national team and scored eight goals.
His most important: the converted penalty in the 1990 World Cup final against Argentina.
Germany won 1-0 and became world champions for the third time.
