«J'entends ce qu'on dit de bien, j'entends ce qu'on dit de mal. Je suis très ouvert aux retours. On est dans la lumière, on est exposé. Tout ce qu'on dit, tout ce qu'on fait est commenté de bonne manière ou de mauvaise manière. Chacun est responsable de ses paroles. Les mots ont un sens, ils sont très importants. Quand on les emploie, ils peuvent être très positifs ou faire mal. Être aussi forts que des coups de poing. Concernant la façon de m'exprimer, de commenter les matchs ou de répondre aux questions, j'essaye de faire le mieux possible. D'apporter une vision, une objectivité, de comprendre les questions qui se posent. Je fais attention à qui je m'adresse.»
«Sur le dernier match, contre l'Écosse, je le répète, on doit être en capacité de supporter les grands moments comme les moments douloureux. L'enchaînement élimination de la Coupe du monde et défaite face à l'Irlande à Marseille était un moment douloureux pour nous. Mais aussi pour nos supporters, pour les gens qui croient en nous et qui nous suivent. Avant cette rencontre donc, on s'est recentré sur l'essentiel : les hommes et le cœur des hommes.
