After Thomas Tuchel's announced departure from FC Bayern, the coach's supposed transfer plans become known.
Munich – Thomas Tuchel and FC Bayern – this liaison, it is now clear, has no future.
After the current season, the head coach installed in 2023 will have to leave the German record champions again.
There was already a crunch between the two parties in the last transfer summer.
At that time, Tuchel even wanted to sell two Munich top performers, reports
The Athletic

Transfer plan revealed?
Bayern coach apparently wanted to sell Kimmich
As the US sports portal explains in an explosive article, Tuchel is said to have suggested to the then Munich transfer task force - which included Uli Hoeneß, Herbert Hainer and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge - Joshua Kimmich (29) and Leon Goretzka (29). to sell in order to create space for new players in midfield.
But the Bayern bosses rejected this plan.
The Athletic
refers to a source allegedly close to Tuchel.
The fact is: It is no secret that the 50-year-old wanted a so-called “Holding Six”, a defensive-oriented midfielder, before the current season.
However, FC Bayern could not or did not want to sign players like Declan Rice (Arsenal FC) or Joao Palhinha (Fulham FC) for financial reasons or was only willing to do so when the matter could no longer be realized shortly before.
In the bitter defeat at VfL Bochum, Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel took Joshua Kimmich off the pitch early, to his dismay.
According to an explosive article, the trainer would have preferred to sell the midfield star last summer.

Bayern transfer summer: insistence on “Holding Six” annoys midfield duo
After the summer transfer period didn't quite go to Tuchel's liking, he had to play the season without a fresh player in the position that was important to him and instead work with Kimmich and Goretzka, who he actually didn't find ideal for his style of play.
As The Athletic
's unnamed source
meanwhile notes, Tuchel's public insistence on a “Holding Six” with Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka, which Tuchel, according to
Bild
, even explicitly released for sale, did not cause any enthusiasm.
On the contrary, as the informant emphasizes: “He emasculated her.” On the other hand, the source in question also shows empathy with Tuchel and his supposedly difficult entry into Bayern: “He was like a doctor who saw that the patient was urgent needed an operation, but was only allowed to prescribe a small amount of therapy.”

Kimmich and Tuchel: A difficult relationship to this day
If you read the account in
The Athletic,
the dissatisfaction on the part of Kimmich, for example, but also Thomas Tuchels, becomes more tangible.
There didn't seem to be any winners after the unsuccessful transfer summer - and for the FCB coach and his two midfield stars, the situation at the time was probably the beginning of a by no means liberated and loving relationship.
Just recently, when he was substituted against Bochum (1:2), Kimmich's disappointment with the current situation was literally written all over his face.
Now, of course, it remains to be seen how the designated departure of Tuchel - who explained in the press conference before the Leipzig game on February 24th: “Josh is an extremely important player, a leading player.
“He hasn’t come close to his top form in the last few games either” – which will have an impact on the relationship and situation of Kimmich and Goretzka at and with FC Bayern.
And whether the ambitious Joshua Kimmich, who saw himself in a leadership or captaincy role at Munich for a long time or perhaps still sees himself, can still imagine a future with the record champions.
The latter point will probably only be decided in the new season and under a new coach.
Meanwhile, some prominent names are currently making the rounds for Tuchel's successor.
