San Antonio can't be happy with their season so far.
The team suffered their tenth loss in 11 games tonight when they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers and only Washington and Detroit have more losses than them.
But does this mean that the team regrets the selection of Victor Wombanayama in the first place in the draft?
Definately not.
The French center forward is having an impressive rookie season, or if you will, a historic one.
Pay attention to Wombi's numbers in tonight's loss 123:118.
The Frenchman scored 27 points (16 in the first quarter) and added 10 rebounds, 8 assists, 5 steals and 5 blocks in 31 minutes.
The Frenchman became the youngest player to achieve 5*5 - that is, at least 5 in five different categories since the NBA started measuring blocks from 1973.
San Antonio keeps losing, but he really doesn't disappoint.

It's the first time a player has accomplished that feat since Jusuf Nurkic scored 24 points and added 23 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 blocks and 5 steals for Portland in 2019.
Anthony Davis, who played tonight against Wombanayama, did it a season earlier and Draymond Green can also take pride in the very rare feat of this.
Wombi's fine ability drew a compliment from the greatest of them all.
LeBron James, who scored 30 points against the Spurs tonight, chose to praise the Frenchman when he tweeted "this kid is special", obviously referring to the Frenchman, who equaled Michael Jordan as the only player to record at least five steals and five blocks in two consecutive games.
By the way, Wombi was one assist away in Sacramento from achieving the 5*5 in two consecutive games.

What's better than receiving a compliment from the king?
LeBron tweets
"He doesn't have a glass ceiling," praised LeBron after the game, "He can do whatever he wants in his career. It seems he enjoys the game. He doesn't try hard, he's just very special."
"I wonder if Michael did it in the wins, and not in the losses," said Wombanayama himself after the game, "for me it's secondary. I can't be happy with it because we lost."
