Van der Merwe cannon
The Scottish winger produced a stratospheric match during Scotland's victory against England (30-21) on Saturday for the third day of the Six Nations Tournament.
The statistics speak for themselves: three tries scored in 25 minutes of play. His yellow card received in the 79th minute did not change the outcome of the match, and, despite his exit, he was applauded by Murrayfield when leaving the lawn.
Russell brilliant on the foot
The Bath opener, as often, showed a very beautiful face in front of his audience.
Uncompromising on the feet (9/9, 15 points scored), he was also responsible for a sumptuous kick, offering Van der Merwe the third try in the 45th minute.

Flops
Tuipolotu narrowly missed
Tuipolotu had a difficult match, displaying a performance below his usual level.
Aligned as a 3/4 center, he seemed in difficulty from the start of the match, making several technical errors and showing himself to be less incisive in his actions.
His lack of precision in passing and his difficulties in crossing the opposing defensive line weighed on his team's play.
Replaced by Redpath in the 45th minute.
English discipline not up to par
English discipline fell short of expectations in this match, with an increased number of forwards, passing errors and poor execution accuracy.
The players seemed at times overwhelmed by the intensity of the game and made technical errors which cost valuable possessions.
After taking a 10-0 lead thanks to Scotland's very poor start to the match, the English team experienced a turnaround and almost gave up all hope of winning the tournament.
