Thanks to his remarkable work at VfB Stuttgart, Sebastian Hoeneß matures into a coaching candidate at FC Bayern.
However, he is currently focusing differently.
Munich - After Thomas Tuchel's announced departure from FC Bayern, speculation about his successor immediately began.
The list of candidates is already long and prominent.
Coach shooting star Sebastian Hoeneß also appears under colorful names like Xabi Alonso or Zinedine Zidane.
However, when asked about the Munich team's interest, Uli Hoeneß's nephew reacted cautiously.

Within one season, Hoeneß catapulted himself into new spheres of the coaching market.
After his unfortunate episode in Hoffenheim, he took over at VfB Stuttgart and turned the relegation-threatened Swabians into European Cup contenders.
Above all, he succeeded in awakening undreamt-of potential in players such as Serhou Guirassy, Deniz Undav, Waldemar Anton and Maximilian Mittelstädt, who have since formed the mainstays of the VfB squad.
Hoeneß therefore appears to be a promising solution as part of the upcoming realignment at FC Bayern.
Clearly visible progress in the team, as Stuttgart had made under Hoeneß, was noticeably missing in the collaboration with Tuchel.
Just a few months ago, Jan-Christian Dreesen admitted to BildTV
that Hoeneß's career was being monitored in Munich
: “In the long term, you can never rule out something like that.
We are monitoring his development.
We’ll see what the future brings,” said the CEO.

Hoeneß on Bayern rumor: “I don’t want to get involved”
And Hoeneß himself?
The 41-year-old is currently not allowing himself to be entertained by speculation about a move in the summer.
When he was confronted with possible interest from Munich at a press conference on Thursday (February 22nd), he replied: “I don't want to get involved, everyone who sees me here can see how much I like being here, how I like myself “I want to concentrate totally on what’s going on here.” That’s exactly how he wants to continue.
Hoeneß is also of the opinion that an open discussion about his future is not appropriate for the good of the team.
And since this isn't the first time he's been asked about the vacant position, the renewed prodding leaves him cold.
In short: It “doesn’t particularly affect him”.

The focus is all the more on the final spurt of the season, which could bring VfB participation in the European Cup.
The next test in the Bundesliga is 1. FC Cologne, which is threatened with relegation.
Here Hoeneß may have to do without several supports, including keeper Alexander Nübel and Deniz Undav.
There are also smaller question marks behind Mittelstädt and Anton.
It will be exciting to see how Hoeneß can shape the rest of the season.
