The memory of this emblematic Portuguese coach of the “Canal years” of PSG, who took his team to the title in 1994, was first saluted by the Ultras who deployed a banner in Portuguese meaning “Artur Jorge, we do not 'We'll never forget, thank you for everything'.

It was accompanied by a large black and white portrait of the “man with the mustache”, also known for having won the Champion Clubs' Cup with FC Porto in 1987.

The two teams and the public then observed a minute of silence, prolonged by loud applause, in the presence of Michel Denisot, the former executive president of PSG who had convinced Artur Jorge to sign for PSG in 1991.
