A very interesting report arrived this evening (Monday) from Argentina.
A few days after it was announced that Sergio Aguero may try to return to playing football after undergoing extensive tests on his heart and receiving permission to return to sporting activities, it is not impossible that the 35-year-old striker will do so in the uniform of Independiente, the team in which he grew up and in whose ranks he went through all the divisions until he starred in the seniors and from which he was sold to Atlético Madrid for 23 million euros in 2006.
Aguero is expected to join the team's training in the coming days and if he manages to show even a little of his abilities from the days when he was a football star, he is expected to join the staff of Carlos Tevez - the 40-year-old former striker who retired in 2021 at Boca Juniors and has since coached Rosario Central and last August he signed with Independiente.

Aguero and Tevez played together in Manchester City and of course also in the Argentina national team.
While Tevez retired from football after spending his last years in Argentina and China after a long and successful career in Europe, Aguero joined Barcelona in May 2021 hoping to collaborate with Lionel Messi, but his good friend then left for Paris Saint-Germain.
A few weeks later, Aguero felt unwell during a Barcelona match against Alaves, was taken to hospital due to what turned out to be a heart rhythm disorder, and in December was forced to announce his retirement from active play.
Now he may be set for a surprising comeback.
