FC Bayern has been seeking the services of Ronald Araújo for a long time.
However, he publicly declares his commitment to FC Barcelona.
Munich – He was long considered the dream solution at FC Bayern.
Last winter, the Munich team tried to sign Ronald Araújo because of the lack of defensive personnel.
However, after the most recent Champions League game against Napoli, the Uruguayan international cleared up rumors about himself.
Ronald Araújo: A player of great importance to his coach
Fans and experts agreed that Araújo would have served FCB well in an up-and-down season.
For the Catalans, the 24-year-old is used both as a central defender and in the right wing-back position.
The importance he has with the outgoing coach Xavi was shown when he replaced the injured Marc-André ter Stegen as captain.
As is well known, Bayern's winter offensive failed due to the Catalan coach's vehement veto.
The question remains, however, whether Bayern will dare to try again next summer.
However, in an interview after the Champions League draw between Barca and Napoli, Araújo now took a clear stance.

Araújo's departure from Barcelona?
Xavi sees him as the “present and future” of the club
Confronted directly with the question of an imminent move, he countered energetically in an interview with
TNT
: “No, no, I'm very happy in Barcelona!” and continued his declaration of loyalty.
“I am very happy in Barcelona.
I’ve been here for almost five years and I show it every time I wear this jersey on the pitch.”
Words that should please his coach.
Xavi himself only emphasized the importance of his defender before FC Barcelona's last league game against Getafe.
For Xavi, there was “no doubt” that Araújo would shape the present and also the future of the Catalans.
“He is one of the leaders in the dressing room and fundamental to the future of the club,” he continued.

FC Bayern and its dream players: will João Palhinha have a breakthrough?
For the squad planners around the future sports director Max Eberl, a possible piece of the puzzle for the desired change in the summer will probably be missing.
However, there is a chance that another dream player from last winter could make a breakthrough.
There seems to be new movement in João Palhinha's personnel after a change fell through at the last second.
