Alyssa Aguilar, the president of the Spanish Basketball Association, reveals that she met with Lorenzo Brown in Madrid and received a commitment from him to show up for the pre-Olympic tournament in the summer.
The Maccabi Tel Aviv coordinator, who will celebrate his 34th birthday this August, may therefore celebrate it in the Spanish team's uniform in Paris, a scenario that it is doubtful that the Yellows will be happy with.
"I met with Brown when Maccabi Tel Aviv came to play in Madrid, we sat down for coffee and he promised me that he would show up for the tournament in Valencia. We are building on him," said Aguilar.
Brown has suffered from several injuries this season, and recently he is carrying a back injury that caused him to miss several games.
In general, the coordinator's physical condition is far from being at its peak and with or without contact, a drop in his professional output is also felt.
Another burden, when he is not at his peak anyway.

Brown, who plays for the Spanish national team on a naturalized basis, should be one of the leading guards on the roster alongside Ricky Rubio, who recently returned to action after a long absence.
The load on him in any case is expected to be great, especially against the background of the crisis that the national team is currently experiencing after two losses in the Eurobasket qualifiers that put it in danger of being relegated, and exposed its short cover in the center position (Rubio suffered a minor injury in the last game against Belgium).
The pre-Olympic tournament will be held in Valencia between July 2 and 7, a few days after the end of the playoffs in the Premier League - so Brown will have very little rest.
