PSG celebrates the club's goalscoring record with Kylian Mbappe/from PSG's official website
Kylian Mbappe and the Emir of Qatar arrived this evening (Tuesday) at the Elysee Palace in Paris for a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani (who is also the owner of Paris Saint-Germain) arrived in the French capital in order to help mediate the negotiations on the cease-fire between Israel and Hamas and the release of the hostages in Gaza, and was received this evening for a festive meal in the palace by President Macron and his wife.
Mbappe was reportedly only invited to the event as a "prominent sports personality" in France ahead of the country's Olympic Games.

However, this is a meeting that arouses great interest in France, also from a sporting point of view, and there is no escaping speculation, and there are reports that claim that an attempt will be made during the event to convince Mbappe to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.
Remember, French President Macron was a key figure in Mbappe's decision to renew his contract at PSG in the summer of 2022, when his signing with Real Madrid seemed closed.
His intervention was decisive, as was the intervention of Emir Qatar, the owner of PSG, who offered huge sums to the footballer to keep him, months before the World Cup in Qatar.

In France they claim that Macron is trying to convince Mbappe to stay since he knows that his departure is a huge damage to French football.
To illustrate, the league put up for sale the television broadcast rights for the period 2024-2029 and has not yet received an offer, when it is clear to everyone that if Mbappe leaves, the value and interest of the league will decrease significantly.
However, most media claim that Mbappe's future will not be discussed at the summit.
According to the journalist Fabrizio Romano, in Madrid they are not afraid that today's meeting could torpedo Mbappe's move to Real in the summer, and the meeting is not related to the big deal.
As a reminder, the president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khalaifi, will also be part of the talks in Qatar in the coming days aimed at promoting a deal for the release of the Israeli hostages from the captivity of Hamas in Gaza.
