Paris - Year after year, the eyes of Formula 1 fans are focused on the drivers' championship, which decides who will be the world champion among the drivers.
But the team competition, the constructors' championship, always promises excitement and a close race for the second world championship title in the premier class.
The racing teams collect points depending on the performance of their drivers.
As in the driver classification, the team with the most points wins at the end of the season.
Constructors' Championship in Formula 1: This is how points are awarded
Teams receive the same amount of points as their drivers.
There are two drivers on the track for each racing team, so that the points in the constructors' championship for all teams are made up of the sum of the points of their two drivers.
Points are awarded according to this scheme:
First: 25 points
Second: 18
Third: 15
Fourth: 12
Fifth: 10
Sixth: 8
Seventh: 6
Eighth: 4
Ninth: 2
Tenth: 1
