Evan Fournier definitely didn't leave a good memory in New York.
Traded by the Knicks on February 8, the French guard has since joined the Detroit Pistons and found playing time. On the night of Monday to Tuesday, the Ile-de-France native returned for the first time to Madison Square Garden, with a defeat (113-111).
And the reception given by the public was frosty.

At the start of the second quarter, when he had just made his way through the Knicks defense and scored a small lay-up, Evan Fournier was even booed by the New York fans.
A reaction which surprised the commentators, who did not understand this behavior, but which did not make the Frenchman flinch, concentrated in his match.
Substitute at the start of the match, the former Orlando Magic player quickly entered the floor and ultimately played 20 minutes, compiling 7 points and an assist.
A still timid performance for the native of Charenton, who has played very little this season, New York coach Tom Thibodeau leaving him chomping at the bit on the bench during the majority of matches.

Now in Detroit, Evan Fournier lives again and finds his real level, five months before the start of the Olympic Games.
A boon for the French team, which will really need its offensive creator to counter the American armada which should reach the capital this summer.
Before that, the Frenchman still has 25 games to play with the Pistons.
However, he will not see the playoffs, Detroit having won only eight games out of 57 this season.
