The sad news of recent months with numerous attacks on educators by “crazy” parents has highlighted this drift in football among young people.
Numerous initiatives to find a fair balance between the different actors were put in place following these incidents.
That of Amadou Dembelé, 45 years old, grew out of his various experiences.
After his professional career (Guimarães in Portugal, Villemomble, Racing, Poissy), this former defender continued to support young players.
Currently a mathematics teacher in a college in Cairo (Egypt), he decided, associated with sports coach Andric Bouteldja, to launch (paid) online training for parents.
“We also come from the neighborhoods, we grew up in Villiers-le-Bel, in Val-d'Oise, we have been on the pitch since we were little,” he explains.
But above all we had the chance to live in another era.
Our parents never intervened.
They let us play and have fun.
But with money, everything changed.
I've seen some crazy behavior from some parents.
Many children are victims of their parents who are banking on them to change their lives later.
I have the example of a kid, international U17, who was at the training center in Nancy.
His father was impulsive, he did anything with the people at the club and today, the little one is on the floor even though he was one of the most promising players in France of his generation.
