It is not only on the NBA courts that French nugget Victor Wembanyama leaves an indelible mark.
The former Metropolitan and Nanterre player has just reached a new record.
And this time it is not sporty but digital.
The Spurs rookie, who is unanimously praised by basketball stars, has just reached and exceeded one billion views on videos, tweets, reels, stories and others promoted by the NBA's social networks since the arrival of the Frenchman in the Texan franchise of San Antonio during the summer of 2023.
The 20-year-old is now the third most watched NBA player in the world after Lakers legend LeBron James who peaks at 1.3 billion views and Golden States point guard Stephen Curry (1.2 billion).
Furthermore, the video of Wembanyama's dunk against Boston during the Spurs' defeat (101-134) on December 31 went viral.
It reached 153 million views, making it the most viewed video of all time on NBA networks!
