A strange incident took place this evening (Thursday) on the synthetic field next to the stadium in Petah Tikva, where Shimshon Tel Aviv hosted Maccabi Yavne as part of the A South League.
Petah Tikva police officers were called to the scene after one of the Yavneh players, who was not wearing his team's uniform, stayed in the area near the dressing rooms and refused to leave the scene.
Later he also refused the policemen's requests to identify themselves and even attacked one of them.
In response, the actor was arrested and taken to the city police station for questioning.
In the game itself, Shimshon Tel Aviv won 0:1 with a goal by Hamza Mavasi in the 15th minute and rose to second place in the southern district, only one point away from the leader Hapoel Kfar Shalem who will play tomorrow.
Yavne remained in sixth place.
Hapoel Herzliya beat Maccabi Shaariim 1:4 earlier, when the losing coach Ron Koperli resigned at the end.
In Netanya, where Iruni Kiryat Shmona hosted Hapoel Nir Ramat Hasharon in the state cup, Central District police officers arrested a minor resident of Ramat Hasharon on suspicion of attacking two fans of the rival team with an iron bar.
Allegedly, after the end of the match, a fight began outside the stadium between the suspect, a 17-year-old resident of Ramat Hasharon, and two fans of the opposing team, at the end of which the two attackers were evacuated to receive treatment at the Laniado Medical Center in the city.
Police officers who were at the scene arrested the suspect as mentioned and he was transferred to the city police station for questioning, at the end of which it will be decided whether to request an extension of his detention tomorrow.
