Eintracht Frankfurt may have to do without their defense chief Robin Koch in the away game at 1. FC Heidenheim.

Frankfurt – On the 24th matchday of the Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt will be guests at 1. FC Heidenheim and wants to end their winless streak of six games across all competitions.

However, the SGE may have to do without defense chief Robin Koch, who was unable to take part in team training due to illness.

“Robin Koch suffered a slight relapse after his cold and did not train.

Hugo Ekitike and Ellyes Skhiri trained individually.

These are the three with the biggest question marks.

But it is not impossible that they will be there.

Hugo Larsson is not yet a candidate for the starting eleven, but is returning to the squad.”

Should Koch actually have to pass for the duel with the promoted team, Makoto Hasebe would be available as a replacement.

The veteran already represented the Frankfurt defense chief when he was suspended in the Freiburg game.

Skhiri, who has struggled since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, would take a place on the bench if he is fit.

Head coach Dino Toppmöller has great confidence in his team and believes a win in Heidenheim would give Eintracht Frankfurt valuable points in the fight for the international places: “You can see that the team has good mental stability and we came back twice last Sunday .

Every one of the boys wants it, you can feel it and that makes me confident.”

But the task won't be easy, as some other teams have already noticed.

“I expect a team that is there from the first second.

We know what Heidenheim can do: fast transition play, passion and good standards.

We know the strengths, but we want to bring a good structure to our game,” the SGE coach continued.

Eintracht is desperate for a win and wants to ring in a good final phase of the season with the Heidenheim game.

“Heidenheim was something like the starting signal for our good phase in the fall.

Of course we hope for that again on Saturday - a start to a positive series,” hopes Toppmöller.
