Max Eberl shone fashionably at his first PK.

The FCB fans suspected there was a hint behind it.

This brought back memories of a memorable coach.

Munich – As soon as Max Eberl arrives at FC Bayern, he already causes a lot of discussion among the fans.

The new sports director was noticed with his outfit when he was introduced.

In addition to a vest, he wore stylish checked trousers.

This has now caused some fans of the record champions to speculate about the reason for this.

“Fashion Week”: Eberl scores points with his outfit at the Bayern presentation

Eberl will take up his position as sports director of the record champions on March 1st.

Now Bayern introduced the 50-year-old.

Eberl caused a lot of conversation with his style of clothing.

Numerous Munich fans reacted to the long-time Gladbacher's first appearance on social media.

While one X user brought up “Fashion Week,” another wrote about “chic pants.”

When it comes to fashion, the new Bayern boss was able to immediately score points with his fans - even if some people in the comments section thought the item of clothing was pajamas.

Some fans, however, suspected that he had previously indulged in another passion and that was why he wore the checked pants.

Because of his checked trousers: Bayern supporters place Eberl “on the golf course”

“Eberl was apparently still on the golf course before the appointment,” joked one user of the platform.

Many comments were along similar lines.

“It was probably interrupted during the morning round of golf with Thomas Müller,” another follower on Instagram caused a laugh.

A game between the two is not ruled out.

At the start of the season, Müller, a self-confessed golf fan, showed Bayern striker Harry Kane “where things are going.”

Nagelsmann hint?

FCB fans notice the outfit parallels at Eberl's presentation

Another X user thought he saw a wave with the fence post in Eberl's checked trousers.

“What belongs together grows together,” he commented and posted a photo by Julian Nagelsmann.

This shows the former Bayern and current national coach in a jacket whose checkered pattern at first glance looks good with the trousers of the new sports director.

Another user wrote aptly about “Nagelsmann’s old pants”.

But with this parallel, the two were probably not just referring to the complementary outfits.

Rather, they indicated that Nagelsmann would return to Munich, where he coached from 2021 to 2023.

The scenario is certainly possible: Bayern are looking for a coach for the new season and Nagelsmann's contract as national coach expires after the 2024 European Championship.

Recently there were even rumors that the DFB trainer was interested in making a comeback to the record champions.

Eberl poses next to the Bayern bosses at the introduction - and steps out of line

As part of the presentation, Eberl posed for further photos alongside Bayern officials Herbert Hainer, Jan-Christian Dreesen and Michael Diederich.

In one of the pictures, a follower on Instagram noticed a contrast between the four strong men of the record champions.

“You can see straight away who played football,” he wrote with a wink – and alluded to Eberl’s O-shaped legs, with which he danced out of line.

As is well known, the 50-year-old was a Bundesliga professional before becoming a manager, while the other Bayern bosses were not.

“The son of Uli Stielike”: Fans joke about Eberl’s outfit at Bayern-PK

The new sports director's appearance also brought back memories of another memorable performance.

In 1998, Uli Stielike set fashion standards at his presentation as assistant coach of the German national team.

The former national player was wearing an eye-catching jacket with a checked pattern.

An FC Bayern fan apparently recognized this in Eberl's outfit: "When I looked at the pants, I first thought that Uli Stielike's son was standing there," he joked on X.

But it wasn't just Eberl who recently followed in Stielike's footsteps.

National coach Nagelsmann's outfit on his DFB debut last fall also caused a fashion stir.
