Shortly after her debut in Nove Mesto 2013, Laura Dahlmeier traveled to Russia with her father.
A risky incident occurred.
Munich - Laura Dahlmeier returned to Nove Mesto as a ZDF expert for this year's World Cup - the place where her successful career began.
What the 30-year-old will probably remember just as well: On a subsequent trip to Russia there was a dangerous incident.

The background was an agreement between Dahlmeier and her father.
Without appearing in the World Cup, the then 19-year-old was surprisingly used in the German relay team.
She was the only one of the quartet to shoot clean and temporarily put the team in the lead.
“If I ever win a world title, he’ll climb Elbrus with me,” Dahlmeier said at the time and added with a mischievous laugh: “I’m fit.
But he has to train now.”
Reason enough for the Dahlmeiers and three other friends to set off for Russia.
The goal was the summit in question, the highest in the country.
However, the passionate mountaineer's adventure ended in arrest at short notice.
Russian soldiers held the later two-time Olympic champion after she had conquered the 5,642 meters with her father Andreas and three friends.

A moment of shock, because the quintet had apparently been in a restricted area.
“We were too close to the Georgian border, which we were completely unaware of,” Dahlmeier told the

.
“The soldiers absolutely didn’t want to let us out until my father started biathlon, the Olympics and Sochi,” the ex-biathlete continued.
When the soldiers realized that the German athlete was a ski hunter and would be taking part in the 2014 Winter Games in Russia, they took notice.
As Dahlmeier reports, in the end there was a comparatively mild penalty of the equivalent of five euros and the incident was over.
